OPTIMUS PRIME

HOT ROD
Optimus, forgive me.

STARSCREAM
(kicks Megatron)
How do you feel, mighty Megatron?!

UNICRON (V.O.)
Behold, GALVATRON.

STARSCREAM
Megatron, is that you?

GALVATRON
(transforms)
Here’s a hint!
(Starscream crumbles)

OPTIMUS PRIME (V.O.)
Arise, RODIMUS PRIME.

RODIMUS PRIME
Optimus.

GALVATRON
No.

Rodimus Prime throws Galvatron out of Unicron.

Starscream, you are a dead mechanism!

TRYPTICON
(Starscream’s voice)
Of course I’m dead, Galvatron. But
not for much longer, and then are
you going to be sorry!

GALVATRON
I’m already sorry.

CYCLONUS
Mighty Galvatron, what is that?

GALVATRON
It’s Starscream, blast him!

CYCLONUS
But he’s a ghost!

GALVATRON
Die you worthless!

STARSCREAM
Ahhh!

CYCLONUS
Wait a minute. Since when do
ghosts tumble out of control
through space?


MONTAGE - “THE RETURN OF OPTIMUS PRIME”

RODIMUS PRIME
I need a QUINTESSON to rebuild
Optimus Prime!

OPTIMUS PRIME
And this time no force in the
universe can stop me.

GALVATRON
There will be no war today, Optimus
Prime. You have earned Galvatron’s
respect.

RODIMUS PRIME
The wisdom of the ages. It’s lost.

OPTIMUS PRIME
No, not lost. We’re all a little
wiser now.

RODIMUS PRIME
But the Matrix is empty.

OPTIMUS PRIME
It’s up to all of us to fill it
again, with the wisdom we accumulate
from this moment on. Autobots,
transform and roll out!

The very last seconds seen in “THE RETURN OF OPTIMUS PRIME” are dubbed with a new line from Optimus Prime.

OPTIMUS PRIME
We’re going back to Cybertron to
build our new home!

The old Transformers theme song plays with new animation featuring the characters from this script.


EXT. CYBERTRON - AUTOBOT CITY CYBERTRON - NIGHT

The Autobots are building their new home called Autobot City Cybertron. The DINOBOTS, TECHNOBOTS, and OMEGA SUPREME are the main Transformers in the scene, working in their robot modes. GRIMLOCK is working with the Technobots while the Dinobots work alone.

SLUDGE
Grimlock, the Dinobots need your help!

GRIMLOCK
No time to help, Sludge. Me,
Grimlock, busy.

SNARL
Grimlock always too busy for Dinobots!

SWOOP
Me, Swoop, want Grimlock to be not
so busy!

SLAG
Me, Slag, second that!

SLUDGE
Me, Sludge, second that, too.

ULTRA MAGNUS drives into scene and transforms to robot mode.

ULTRA MAGNUS
What’s going on here, Dinobots?
Can’t you guys ever work together
without arguing or fighting?

SLUDGE
Grimlock no like Dinobots! Grimlock
think he too smart for Dinobots!

Optimus Prime and Rodimus Prime come into scene in robot mode.

OPTIMUS PRIME
How’s Autobot City Cybertron coming,
Grimlock?

GRIMLOCK
Dinobots, stop work and salute the
return of our leader, Optimus Prime.

Grimlock transforms to dinosaur mode and growls. The other Dinobots follow his orders and transform to dinosaur mode and growl.

RODIMUS PRIME
So I guess that means everyone’s glad
to have you back, Optimus. Isn’t
that right, Magnus?

ULTRA MAGNUS
Of course, Rodimus. But I wish the
Dinobots would quit arguing and start
working.

RODIMUS PRIME
All right, Dinobots, I’ll make a
deal with you. Finish building
Autobot City Cybertron, and you’ll
never have to work again.

GRIMLOCK
Hmm... me, Grimlock, like the sounds
of that. Dinobots, get to work and
don’t stop work until work is done.

SLUDGE
We will obey you, Grimlock.

The Dinobots transform back to robot mode and start to work again.

OPTIMUS PRIME
It looks like you did a fine job
leading the Autobots without me,
Rodimus. I could never get the
Dinobots to listen to me before.

RODIMUS PRIME
Trust me, Optimus. It wasn’t easy.

ULTRA MAGNUS
Being a leader isn’t supposed to
be easy, Rodimus. But you did a great
job without Optimus Prime being here.

OPTIMUS PRIME
Indeed. So much so that I do not
feel right to take away your
position as leader of the Autobots.
I would like us to both serve as
leaders of the Autobots, and for
you to continue carrying the
Autobot Matrix of Leadership.

RODIMUS PRIME
Do you mean it, Optimus?

OPTIMUS PRIME
(shakes his hand)
I do.

Optimus Prime, Rodimus Prime, and Ultra Magnus walk around the site where Autobot City Cybertron is being built.

ULTRA MAGNUS
But we used all the power in the
Matrix to save the world from the
hate plague. How will we ever fill
it again?

OPTIMUS PRIME
Only with time will the Matrix ever
be filled again. I can only hope
that such evil will never fill the
universe again, and if it does,
we can fight it without the Matrix.

RODIMUS PRIME
Do you think the Decepticons will
ever return?

OPTIMUS PRIME
I don’t know, Rodimus. Deep down
inside I really want to believe that
the war is over with, but I know I
can’t say that.

All of the sudden a QUAKE hits Cybertron and all of the Autobots stop what they are doing.

ULTRA MAGNUS
What’s going on?!

OPTIMUS PRIME
It’s a cyber-quake! Autobots, transform
and run for cover! Board Omega Supreme
and prepare to evacuate!

Optimus Prime, Rodimus Prime, and Ultra Magnus transform and roll out in opposite directions. Several Transformers are running for cover and transforming. Omega Supreme transforms to rocket mode as the Autobots get onboard.


INT. OMEGA SUPREME

OPTIMUS PRIME
Are all the Autobots onboard?

ULTRA MAGNUS
Yes, Optimus Prime.

OPTIMUS PRIME
Omega, prepare to...

RODIMUS PRIME
Wait, Optimus, I think the quake
stopped!

OPTIMUS PRIME
It did.
(to Omega Supreme)
How are you doing, big guy?

OMEGA SUPREME
Omega Supreme, fine, Optimus Prime.

ULTRA MAGNUS
(looks at monitor)
We’re all fine, Optimus Prime, and
it looks like most of Autobot
City Cybertron is still standing.
But what I’d like to know is what
just caused that to happen.

OPTIMUS PRIME
So would I. It’s possible that
the Decepticons are draining
energy from Cybertron which caused
the quake. If this is true, it
needs to be investigated immediately.
AERIALBOTS!

The Aerialbots enter scene.

SILVERBOLT
Yes, Optimus Prime?!

OPTIMUS PRIME
Silverbolt, I want you and the other
Aerialbots to try and locate the
Decepticons and find out what they’re
up to. Galvatron’s been quiet for
too long, and if he’s stealing energy
from Cybertron, we need to stop him
before it’s too late.

SILVERBOLT
All right, Aerialbots, you heard
Optimus Prime. Let’s fly!

The Aerialbots transform and fly out of Omega Supreme.


EXT. CYBERTRON - THE ENERDRAIN - NIGHT

The COMBATICONS are using a huge, powerful machine called the Enerdrain that is producing tons of energon cubes in an assembly line.

SWINDLE
Ah. Smell all that fresh energon
pumping through the Enerdrain. This
stuff has got to be worth a fortune.

VORTEX
The energon is worth a fortune,
Swindle. But it’s not for you,
it’s for Galvatron.

SWINDLE
Then you tell Galvatron to come out
here and pump this energon himself,
Vortex. This isn’t some foreign
country where you can rip off your
workers and produce everything for
dirt cheap, you know.

BLAST OFF
Then why don’t you just tell
Galvatron to come out here and
do this himself.

SWINDLE
Blast Off, I’m not crazy like
Galvatron is. He’d think I was
trying to get smart with him.

ONSLAUGHT
Let’s just hope the Enerdrain
doesn’t cause anymore quakes. It
could attract the Autobots.

BRAWL
Well I’d sure hope it would attract
the Autobots. I’ve been dying
for a fight.

VORTEX
You said it, Brawl. It seems like
centuries since we got to fight
any Autobots. What do you think,
Onslaught?

ONSLAUGHT
I think Galvatron’s a fool for
trusting us to with this mission.
We haven’t forgotten about him
imprisoning us on Cybertron for all
those years. We WILL be avenged!

SWINDLE
Quiet down guys, here comes Galvatron.

Galvatron enters scene with CYCLONUS, SCOURGE, and SOUNDWAVE in robot mode.

GALVATRON
The Enerdrain! The key to my
domination of the universe! The
key to the destruction of the
Autobots! Have you Combaticons
produced enough energon cubes to
power us off of Cybertron yet?!

ONSLAUGHT
In due time, Galvatron, my leader.
The Enerdrain is working right
on schedule.

GALVATRON
Excellent, Onslaught. Once we
suck Cybertron dry of all its
energy and find a new home, the
Autobots will be so low on energon
that their circuits will fry!
And I will rule the universe!

Cyclonus and Scourge look at each other.

CYCLONUS
Mighty Galvatron, what will we do if
the Autobots find out what we’re doing?

GALVATRON
The Autobots won’t find out,
Cyclonus. And if they do, I will
fry them into so many pieces, you
won’t be able to sell them to
the Junkions!

SCOURGE
(sarcasm)
Do not question Galvatron’s
authority, Cyclonus. I’m sure
he knows what he’s doing.

GALVATRON
Of course I know what I’m doing!
If I didn’t know what I was doing,
I wouldn’t be leader of the
Decepticons and be able to crush
Optimus Prime like this!

Galvatron punches Scourge to the ground.

GALVATRON
Now, let us return to TRYPTICON
while the Combaticons finish
their work.

Cyclonus picks up Scourge and they along with Galvatron and Soundwave exit scene.

GALVATRON (O.S.)
We need to discuss our plans of
dominating the universe - in
private!

SWINDLE
See what I mean? Galvatron’s crazy.

BLAST OFF
Forget Galvatron. If the Enerdrain
keeps sucking up energy at this
rate, it’s liable to cause a chain
reaction with Cybertron and explode.

ONSLAUGHT
That’s Galvatron’s problem, not
ours. Once we have all the energon
we need, Galvatron will be of no
further use to us. We will rule the
galaxy and be leaders of the
Decepticons, not Galvatron.

SWINDLE
Great plan, Onslaught, as long as
Galvatron doesn’t have plans to
get rid of us first.

ONSLAUGHT
In the form of Bruticus, Galvatron
stands no chance against us.

BLAST OFF
Yeah, as long as he doesn’t get
Trypticon after us.

ONSLAUGHT
Onslaught always thinks ahead,
Blast Off. Galvatron’s first
mistake with his plan was to put us
in charge of this mission. All he’s
giving us is fuel to the fire for our
years imprisoned on Cybertron.
We will have our revenge.


EXT. CHARR - NIGHT

A Quintesson ship flies through space and lands on Charr. Three Quintessons and two Sharkticons in robot mode exit the ship and walk through Charr.

QUINTESSON 1
Disgusting!

QUINTESSON 2
Filthy!

QUINTESSON 3
Atrocious!

QUINTESSON 1
I cannot believe this planet was
once inhabited.

QUINTESSON 2
The Decepticons have a very low
standard of living. It is not
terribly surprising.

QUINTESSON 3
But why have we come to such a low
standard of living?

QUINTESSON 1
Because of the Transformers!

The Autobots!

QUINTESSON 3
The Decepticons!

QUINTESSON 1
They stole our home planet of
Cybertron, and now it is up to
us to get it back.

QUINTESSON 3
And how are we supposed to get it
back? We have three Quintessons and
two Sharkticons left in our entire
race. We stand no chance of launching
an assault on Cybertron against the
Autobots and Decepticons and
retrieving our home.

QUINTESSON 2
Unless we were to find an ally or
allies capable and willing to help
us with our cause.

QUINTESSON 1
Good luck finding any help on
this stinking planet.

QUINTESSON 3
Wait a second. I think I see
something over there. Should we
investigate it?

QUINTESSON 2
Why not, what else do we have to
do on Charr?

QUINTESSON 1
Then it’s unanimous. We will
investigate.

The Quintessons and Sharkticons head to the site where they discover the lifeless body of Starscream lying on the ground.

QUINTESSON 1
It looks like the body of a Decepticon.

QUINTESSON 2
It is the body of a Decepticon.

QUINTESSON 3
It’s the body of the renegade
Decepticon Starscream!

EXT. CYBERTRON - NIGHT

The Aerialbots are flying through the skies of Cybertron in jet mode.

SLINGSHOT
Silverbolt, we’ve been flying over
Cybertron for hours and we still
haven’t spotted any Decepticons.
Maybe we should just call it a
day and tell Optimus Prime we
couldn’t find the Decepticons.

AIR RAID
I’m with Slingshot. I’m tired of
flying and I’m low on fuel. If
we don’t see any Decepticons soon,
I’m turning in.

SILVERBOLT
Don’t give up now, Air Raid.
I know the Decepticons are around
here somewhere. We haven’t covered
all of Cybertron yet. As leader of
the Aerialbots, I can’t let us
report back to Optimus Prime and
tell him we didn’t cover all of
Cybertron before returning home.

FIREFLIGHT
Silverbolt’s right. We had a
major quake today on Cybertron, and
if it was caused by the Decepticons
and something worse happens because
we couldn’t find them, it will be
our fault.

SKYDIVE
Silverbolt, I’m picking up
readings on my radar that something
is coming in fast on us from the
rear, and it’s not an Autobot.

SILVERBOLT
All right, Aerialbots. Decrease
altitude and let it pass until
we find out what it is.

The Aerialbots take a dive and decrease their speed as
ASTROTRAIN passes over them in shuttle mode.

AIR RAID
Astrotrain!

SLINGSHOT
Well, I guess we just got our
ticket to find the Decepticons.

SILVERBOLT
Follow Astrotrain, Aerialbots. He
should lead us right to the
Decepticons. Don’t get too close,
though. We don’t want him to spot
us and have a whole armada of
Decepticons after us.


EXT. CHARR - NIGHT

The Quintessons and Sharkticons surround Starscream’s lifeless body lying on the ground.

QUINTESSON 3
It’s the body of the renegade
Decepticon Starscream!

QUINTESSON 2
What should we do with it?

QUINTESSON 3
Shall we dispose of it?

QUINTESSON 1
No! We may have a use for it.
Perhaps Starscream is the ally
we’ve been looking for.

QUINTESSON 2
If we can revive him, we can
use him to help us retake
Cybertron.

QUINTESSON 3
And then dispose of him.

QUINTESSON 1
But there is a seventy percent
probability that he will rebel
against us and our plans to
retake Cybertron will fail.

QUINTESSON 2
It’s a chance we will have to take.
Without him, our chances of retaking
Cybertron are reduced to a fifteen
percent probability.

QUINTESSON 3
He would definitely increase the
odds of us getting Cybertron back.
Unless you would prefer for us to
spend the rest of our days on this
pitiful planet called Charr?

QUINTESSON 2
Of course not! We will do whatever
it takes to get Cybertron back, no
matter the cost.

QUINTESSON 1
So then we agree that we will
revive Starscream to help serve
our cause, and then dispose of
him once Cybertron is ours again?

QUINTESSON 3
Agreed.

QUINTESSON
(1, 2, and 3)
Ah, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.

LATER

The Quintessons are reviving Starscream. He comes to life.

STARSCREAM
What? Where am I? Quintessons?
I’m alive again and I’m no
longer a ghost!

QUINTESSON 1
You are on Charr, and it is only
because of us that you are alive
and in your old body again.

STARSCREAM
Charr? The last thing I remember is
getting my body back from Unicron
and feeling a huge explosion.
Galvatron then blasted me and this
must’ve been where I landed.

QUINTESSON 2
You are going to help us retake
Cybertron, or we are going to
deactivate you as quickly as we
reactivated you. That is the one
and only reason you were brought
back to life.

STARSCREAM
Retake Cybertron? Now that’s no
small task. What will you guys
do for me?

QUINTESSON 1
We will not feed you to the
Sharkticons for dinner.

The two Sharkticons transform to shark mode and chomp their jaws.

STARSCREAM
Sparing me is not enough. There is
something else I must have if you
want me to help you.

QUINTESSON 2
Which is?

STARSCREAM
Galvatron must be destroyed so I
can return to my home with the
Decepticons.

QUINTESSON 2
Fair enough. As long as you do your
part to help us reclaim Cybertron,
we will help you destroy Galvatron.
We might even do that anyway.

STARSCREAM
Now we’re talking! What did you
Quintessons have in mind?

QUINTESSON 1
First we were planning to stage an
attack on the Decepticons and make
them think the Autobots did it.

QUINTESSON 3
That will cause chaos and confusion
between the Autobots and Decepticons,
and Cybertron’s defenses will
be weakened.

STARSCREAM
Great plan, Quintessons. But just
how are we supposed to attack the
Decepticons and make them think
that the Autobots did it?

QUINTESSON 2
We will attack them from the air and
disguise our ship as an Autobot shuttle.

QUINTESSON 3
By the time the Decepticons realize
what hit them, we will be gone and
Galvatron will immediately blame
the Autobots for the attack.

QUINTESSON 1
We will then return to Charr to
plan the next phase of Operation
Cybertron.

STARSCREAM
Terrific! When should we make
our attack?

QUINTESSON 1
Now.

STARSCREAM
Very soon, I will have my revenge
on Galvatron. The Autobots will
cower and fear the name of
Starscream as I lead the Decepticons
to victory. And nothing in the
universe will be able to stop me!
Ha, ha, ha, ha! Quintessons - board
the ship!

Starscream boards the Quintesson ship and exits scene.

QUINTESSON 1
Treacherous fool. Once Starscream
has served his purpose, he will join
the fate of Galvatron and the other
Decepticons and Autobots, and
Cybertron will be all ours.

QUINTESSON
(1, 2, and 3)
Ah, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.


EXT./INT. EARTH - METROPLEX CITY MODE - DAY

Inside Metroplex, JAZZ is in vehicle mode with DANIEL and SPIKE inside. BLASTER is in tape deck mode jamming music. BLURR, WHEELIE, SPRINGER, and ARCEE are dancing. PERCEPTOR, KUP, and GOLDBUG are covering their ears.

RODIMUS PRIME (on monitor)
Blaster! ... Blaster! ... Blaster!

Kup runs up to Blaster and shuts off his radio.

Dammit, Blaster! Rodimus Prime
is calling us.

BLASTER
Oops, sorry.

Blaster transforms to robot mode and walks to the monitor. Spike and Daniel get out of Jazz. Jazz transforms to robot mode and the Autobots follow Blaster to the monitor.

BLASTER
Sorry about that, Rodimus Prime.
We were all just having one hot
rodding, jazz of a blast.

JAZZ
You know - Jazz.
(plays quick music)

RODIMUS PRIME (on monitor)
I’m sure you were. How are things on
Earth, specifically, Decepticon wise?

BLASTER
Can’t really say, haven’t seen those
Decepticreeps in days.

KUP
What about you, lad? Have the
Decepticons been behaving
themselves on Cybertron?

RODIMUS PRIME (on monitor)
I can’t say for sure. We had a
major quake today on Cybertron and
we don’t know what caused it yet.
The Aerialbots are out right now
investigating it, but I’d like you
to send out a team on Earth to
see what the Decepticons are up to.

SPRINGER
No problem, Rodimus. Arcee and I
were just getting ready to go out
for a drive anyway.

SPIKE
(gets out of Jazz)
Daniel and I will go with you, too.

ARCEE
Rodimus, be sure to give Optimus
Prime my best. We all can’t wait
to see him again.

RODIMUS PRIME (on monitor)
I sure will, Arcee. Rodimus Prime
out.

SPRINGER
Let’s go, Arcee. Hop in, Spike.

Springer and Arcee transform to vehicle mode and Spike gets in Springer and Daniel gets in Arcee.

ARCEE
Come on, Daniel.

DANIEL
All right!

They drive off and exit scene.

GOLDBUG
What about the Protectobots?

PERCEPTOR
They’re busy right now with a
state of emergency in the city.

BLASTER
Man, those guys are always so busy,
we’ll never get a chance to know them.

WHEELIE
Wheelie and Blurr know, but don’t know
where go.

BLURR
Come on, Wheelie. Let’s go, let’s
go, let’s go!

WHEELIE
Where?

BLURR
Anywhere!

Blurr and Wheelie transform to vehicle mode and roll out.


EXT. CYBERTRON - THE ENERDRAIN - NIGHT

The Aerialbots have reached the Enerdrain after following Astrotrain. The Aerialbots transform into robot mode and hide in a remote location and listen in. The Combaticons watch the Enerdrain and Astrotrain enters scene in robot mode.

ASTROTRAIN
Hey, Combaticons, what are the chances
you could hook Astrotrain up with
some energon? I just had a long trip
across Cybertron and could definitely
use some energy to fill my reserves.

SWINDLE
I don’t know guys, should we give
Astrotrain some energon? What’s in
it for us?

ASTROTRAIN
I won’t report your treachery to
Galvatron.

ONSLAUGHT
Treachery?! We are not traitors.
You are a traitor, Astrotrain.

BRAWL
Yeah, you and that other triple
changer, Blitzwing, tried to
freeze Galvatron in a sewer and
become our new leaders.

BLAST OFF
Then when Galvatron returned,
Blitzwing blasted off and hasn’t
been seen since. If you were smart
you would do the same.

ASTROTRAIN
Hey, we’ve all been there and done
that before, but nobody’s succeeded
in getting rid of Galvatron. But
it’s written all over you guys that
your time is now. Galvatron wouldn’t
realize what was going on if it was
right in front of him. But your
secret’s safe with me, guys.

SWINDLE
Now this guy’s smart. So smart we’re
going to give him an energon cube
just to leave us alone. Here you
go, Astrotrain.

Swindle hands him an energon cube and Astrotrain exits scene.

VORTEX
So Astrotrain knows what we’re up to.
What are we going to do?

ONSLAUGHT
We do nothing. He can’t prove that
we’re traitors. Besides, by the time
Galvatron realizes that we’re traitors,
he will already be disposed of.

Ratbat flies over the Aerialbots and radios to Soundwave.


EXT. TRYPTICON CITY MODE

SOUNDWAVE
Galvatron, Ratbat has spotted the
Aerialbots here.

GALVATRON
What?! They must’ve found out
about the Enerdrain. We must
dispose of them before they can
alert Optimus Prime. Cyclonus,
Scourge, Astrotrain! Take the
other Decepticon jets and get rid
of the Aerialbots - permanently!

CYCLONUS
Yes, mighty Galvatron.

NEAR ENERDRAIN

SLINGSHOT
So what should we do, Silverbolt?
Should we break up this party now
or should we get reinforcements?

SILVERBOLT
There’s no telling how many more
Decepticons are inside Trypticon.
So it would be very unwise to
stage an attack right now. So
let’s get out of here before any
Decepticons spot us and report
to Optimus Prime.

The Aerialbots turn around and realize they are being held at gunpoint by Cyclonus, Scourge, Astrotrain, RAMJET, DIRGE, and THRUST.

SCOURGE
Where do you think you’re going,
Aerialbots? Surely not back to
Optimus Prime, at least not in
one piece.

CYCLONUS
We couldn’t let you do that after
you spied on us. It would spoil
all of our fun. But since the
Aerialbots are here, it looks like
we’re going to have some fun anyway.
Ah, ha, ha, ha, ha.

The Decepticons move slowly towards the Aerialbots as they back away in fear.


EXT. EARTH - DECEPTICON SPACE TOWER - DAY

Next to the Decepticon Space Bridge, the CONSTRUCTICONS are building a near complete Decepticon Space Tower. SHOCKWAVE and three SWEEPS arrive on the Decepticon Space Bridge in robot mode. They exit and head towards the construction site.

SWEEP 1
Shockwave, you still haven’t told us
why we had to come to Earth with you.

SWEEP 2
Yeah, we’d rather be on Cybertron
with our leader, Scourge.

They approach the Constructicons, who are working on the near complete tower. SCRAPPER salutes Shockwave in robot mode.

It’s almost finished. We just need
to put the insignia on top of it.

DEVASTATOR!

The six Constructicons transform into Devastator and place the large Decepticon insignia at the top of the tower. Up in the sky and near the site, Springer is flying in helicopter mode with Spike, and Arcee is driving with Daniel on the ground.

The animation goes back and forth between Springer and Arcee as they talk.

SPRINGER
Arcee, I just spotted Devastator
and some other Decepticons near
the space bridge. It looks
like they’re building some kind
of new tower.

ARCEE
Don’t get too close, Springer.
I don’t want them to spot you.

SPRINGER
Agreed. Let’s head back to
Metroplex. The Decepticons aren’t
breaking the law right now.

ARCEE
Let’s just hope the tower isn’t some
sort of new weapon the Decepticons
are planning to use against us.

Look, an Autobot spy!

EXT. CYBERTRON - NIGHT

The Aerialbots are surrounded by Cyclonus, Scourge, Astrotrain, Ramjet, Dirge, and Thrust.

SKYDIVE
All right, Silverbolt. Do we
fight or do we flee?

SILVERBOLT
The correct answer, Skydive, is...
we transform into SUPERION!

The Aerialbots transform into Superion. The Decepticons fire at Superion as he fires back. The six Decepticons transform to jet mode and fire at Superion from the air.
The action catches the attention of the Combaticons who are nearby.

THE ENERDRAIN

ONSLAUGHT
What on Cybertron is going on
over there?

BLAST OFF
It’s Superion!

BRAWL
Well what are we just standing here
for? I want some action!

SWINDLE
That’s brutal.

ONSLAUGHT
No, that’s...

The Combaticons transform into Bruticus.

BRUTICUS
Bruticus!

NEAR ENERDRAIN

Superion is firing at the Decepticon jets and punching them when Bruticus runs up from behind and punches Superion to the ground. While on the ground, Superion turns around not knowing who he was struck by.

SUPERION
Bruticus!

BRUTICUS
Bruticus will crush Superion.

Superion stands on his feet and prepares to match up with Bruticus. The six jets are now in robot mode and watching the action.

RAMJET
Get him, Bruticus!

THRUST
Don’t let those Autobot jets
beat you!

Bruticus runs up and charges Superion with his fist, knocking him to the ground. Superion gets up and picks up Bruticus and throws him all the way to where Trypticon is.


EXT. TRYPTICON CITY MODE

Galvatron’s back is turned not even paying attention when Bruticus comes landing face first right next to him.

GALVATRON
What is this?! Can’t I find anyone
capable of getting rid of five
miserable Autobot jets for me?
I guess I’ll just have to bring out
the heavy artillery. PREDACONS!
TERRORCONS!

The five Predacons and five Terrorcons exit Trypticon in animal mode and approach Galvatron.

GALVATRON
Get rid of Superion!

The Predacons transform into PREDAKING.

PREDAKING
Predaking!

The Terrorcons transform into Abominus.

ABOMINUS
Abominus!

Bruticus stands up.

BRUTICUS
And Bruticus will be brutal.

NEAR ENERDRAIN

Superion has Thrust and Dirge in his hands. He sees Predaking and Abominus approaching him and throws Thrust at Predaking and Dirge at Abominus, knocking them down. Bruticus shoots Superion and knocks him down. Predaking, Abominus, and Bruticus pick up Superion and throw him.

DIRGE
Take that you Aerialbots!

THRUST
That will teach you to mess
with the Decepticons.

Superion stands up and sees Predaking, Abominus, and Bruticus charging at him. At the last second, Superion disengages into the Aerilabots in jet mode. Predaking, Abominus, and Bruticus all pile on top of each other.

CYCLONUS
Decepticons, after them!

The six Decepticon jets transform to jet mode and pursue and fire at the Aerialbots from the air.

AIR RAID
All right, Silverbolt. I know
you’ve heard this before, but do
we fight or flee?

SILVERBOLT
Well, Air Raid, Optimus Prime has
always said there’s a time to fight
and a time to flee. And now is
definitely a time to flee.

SLINGSHOT
Good idea. Let’s get out of here!

The Aerialbots flee with the six Decepticon jets in pursuit. Out of nowhere appears a large shuttle heading towards them with an Autobot insignia on it.

FIREFLIGHT
Hey, you guys see that? It’s an
Autobot shuttle.

SKYDIVE
How’d Prime know we were in trouble?

SILVERBOLT
I’m not so sure about that shuttle,
Skydive. I’ve never seen it before.
It could be some sort of Decepticon
trick.

The shuttle passes right by the Aerialbots and starts firing at the six Decepticon jets.

SCOURGE
Cyclonus, it was a trap! The
Aerialbots set us up!

SLINGSHOT
What? We didn’t set them up. We’ve
never even seen that shuttle before.

SILVERBOLT
No time to figure out what’s going on
now, Slingshot. Now’s our chance to
get back to base. Aerialbots, full
speed ahead!

The Aerialbots exit scene as the shuttle continues to fire at the six Decepticon jets.

SCOURGE
We’re getting hit hard, Cyclonus!
It would be wise for us to get
reinforcements.

CYCLONUS
You are right, Scourge.
Decepticons, retreat!

The six Decepticon jets turn around and follow Cyclonus back to Trypticon with the Autobot shuttle still firing and in pursuit.


EXT. TRYPTICON CITY MODE

Cyclonus transforms to robot mode and lands by Galvatron and Soundwave as the other Decepticon jets continue to fire at the shuttle from the air.

CYCLONUS
Galvatron, we’re under attack!
We were set up by the Aerialbots!

GALVATRON
You fool, Cyclonus! That shuttle
could destroy the Enerdrain.
All Decepticons, stop that shuttle
at all costs!

The Predacons, Terrorcons, and Combaticons all fire their lasers at the shuttle in robot mode.

GALVATRON
Trypticon, transform!

Trypticon transforms from city mode to robot mode.

GALVATRON
Take care of that Autobot shuttle
before it destroys the Enerdrain.

TRYPTICON
Trypticon will crush Autobot shuttle
and any Autobots that get in my way.


INT. AUTOBOT SHUTTLE

Starscream is behind the controls while the Quintessons watch.

STARSCREAM
So what do we do now, Quints? We’re
taking plenty of damage, and
Trypticon’s going to squash us like
an Insecticon if we don’t do
something quick.

QUINTESSON 1
Wait for Trypticon to get closer to
the Enerdrain and then destroy it.

STARSCREAM
That’s liable to cause a massive
explosion and destroy Galvatron.

QUINTESSON 3
Correct. Our business here will then
be complete and we can move on to the
next stage of Operation Cybertron.

OUTSIDE AUTOBOT SHUTTLE

Trypticon moves closer to the Enerdrain firing his lasers while the Autobot shuttle fires back.

INT. AUTOBOT SHUTTLE

STARSCREAM
Come on you overgrown dinosaur.
Just a little bit closer and... now!

OUTSIDE AUTOBOT SHUTTLE

Right before Trypticon reaches the Enerdrain trying to protect it, Starscream fires a blast at the Enerdrain which destroys it and causes a massive explosion. Trypticon falls and the other Decepticons run for cover before getting knocked off their feet from the explosion.

The Autobot shuttle turns around and exits scene. The Decepticons all slowly get back to their feet.

GALVATRON
(in shock)
The Autobots... Trypticon... the
Enerdrain. The miserable Autobots
destroyed the Enerdrain! They’re
going to pay for this!

Galvatron walks over to where Soundwave is lying on the ground and picks him up.

GALVATRON
The Autobots are going to pay for
this, Soundwave. I want you and
Astrotrain to take a team of
Decepticons to Earth and deliver
this message to Shockwave:
Destroy all the AUTOBOTS!

SOUNDWAVE
As you command, Galvatron.

GALVATRON
The rest of us are going to be
paying a visit to our friend,
Optimus Prime, who as of now,
is once again our enemy.
Decepticons, prepare to crush the
Autobots once again!


EXT. CYBERTRON - AUTOBOT CITY CYBERTRON - NIGHT

The Technobots, Dinobots, and Omega Supreme are putting on the final touches of Autobot City Cybertron in robot mode with Optimus Prime watching.

That’s it, Optimus Prime. Autobot
City Cybertron is now complete.

OPTIMUS PRIME

Yes, Grimlock. You did a magnificent
job, too. All of the Dinobots did.

The Aerialbots fly into scene and transform to robot mode.

OPTIMUS PRIME
Welcome back, Aerialbots. Any luck
finding the Decepticons?

AIR RAID
Yeah, we found them all right.
Too many of them.

SILVERBOLT
We had a few problems here and
there, but nothing the Aerialbots
couldn’t handle.

OPTIMUS PRIME
What did you find out?

FIREFLIGHT
The Decepticons have some kind of
machine called the Enerdrain that’s
draining energy from Cybertron.

SLINGSHOT
That’s what we think caused the quake
today. Right before we got out of
there, an Autobot shuttle came in
and attacked the Decepticons.

OPTIMUS PRIME
An Autobot shuttle? There’s no way
that’s what it could’ve been. But we
can’t worry about that right now. We
have to stop the Decepticons before
they can steal anymore energy from
Cybertron.

OMEGA SUPREME
Optimus Prime!

I detect Decepticons coming in.

OPTIMUS PRIME
(to himself)
What?

Optimus Prime looks up and sees Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge, the Combaticons, the Predacons, and the Terrorcons heading towards Autobot City Cybertron.

OPTIMUS PRIME
Autobots, the Decepticons have
returned! Prepare for battle!

The Autobots prepare for battle and Omega Supreme stands at the front line firing at the Decepticons.

GALVATRON
(from air)
Trypticon, take care of that old
rust bucket, Omega Supreme.

Trypticon lands and battles Omega Supreme. Rodimus Prime and Ultra Magnus are firing at the Decepticons in robot mode while they fire back.

RODIMUS PRIME
I knew the peace wouldn’t last
forever, Magnus.

ULTRA MAGNUS
Learn to trust your instinct more
often, Rodimus.

RODIMUS PRIME
Autobots, stand and guard Autobot
City Cybertron!

Cyclonus and Scourge are standing in front of Rodimus Prime and Ultra Magnus firing at them.

SCOURGE
You should be more worried about
yourself, Rodimus Prime.

RODIMUS PRIME
We’ll see about that, Scourge!

Rodimus Prime transforms to vehicle mode and runs over Scourge.

ULTRA MAGNUS
I’m right behind you, Rodimus!

Ultra Magnus transforms to vehicle mode and runs over Cyclonus. SKY LYNX shoots at the Predacons and Terrorcons from the air.

GRIMLOCK
Dinobots, transform!

The Dinobots transform to dinosaur mode and attack Trypticon who is getting the best of Omega Supreme.

TRYPTICON
Dinobots no match for Trypticon.

NOSECONE
Technobots, why don’t we give
the Dinobots a hand.

The Technobots transform into Computron and walk to where the Dinobots are fighting Trypticon. The Dinobots are backing up as Trypticon walks toward them.

COMPUTRON
Computron give Grimlock a hand.

GRIMLOCK
Good idea, Computron.

Computron picks up Grimlock and throws him at Trypticon feet first and Trypticon falls. The Autobots and Decepticons are still fighting as Galvatron slowly approaches Optimus Prime.

OPTIMUS PRIME
It’s been a long time, Galvatron.

GALVATRON
Too long for me, Optimus Prime.
The war was never really over.
You earned my respect and I
thought we could’ve lived in
harmony for centuries because of
your heroic acts. But that was
until you attacked us and destroyed
the Enerdrain. Now it’s time for
me to repay the favor!

OPTIMUS PRIME
You’re not going to believe me,
Galvatron, but it wasn’t the
Autobots who attacked you.

GALVATRON
Liar!

Galvatron punches Optimus Prime to the ground. Galvatron transforms to cannon mode and tries to blast Optimus Prime. Optimus Prime dodges the blast and shoots at Galvatron and he transforms back to robot mode.

Optimus Prime transforms to truck mode and runs into Galvatron. His truck separates from him and opens up and starts firing at Galvatron. Optimus Prime transforms back to robot mode and points his gun at Galvatron.

OPTIMUS PRIME
It’s over, Galvatron. You’ve lost.

GALVATRON
Never!

Galvatron jumps up and tackles Optimus Prime to the ground. They struggle and roll over a couple of times before Galvatron pins Optimus Prime on his back and points his cannon at him.

GALVATRON
This is it! The end of Optimus Prime
with no return. Any last words?!

OPTIMUS PRIME
This is far from being my last words,
Galvatron, but it wasn’t the
Autobots who attacked you.

GALVATRON
If a shuttle bearing the Autobot
symbol wasn’t being piloted by
Autobots, then I’d like to hear
who you think it was, Optimus!

OPTIMUS PRIME
Look behind you!

GALVATRON
Do you really expect me to fall for
that, Optimus Prime?

STARSCREAM (O.S.)
Ah, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

GALVATRON
What?!

Galvatron gets up and turns around.

EXT./INT. EARTH - DECEPTICON SPACE TOWER - DAY

Soundwave, Astrotrain, Ramjet, Dirge, and Thrust arrive on the space bridge near the Decepticon Space Tower and exit.

INSIDE SPACE TOWER

The elevator door opens and they exit. Standing there already is Shockwave, the Constructicons, and the Sweeps.

SHOCKWAVE
Soundwave!

SOUNDWAVE
We have a message from Galvatron.

Soundwave hits the play button on his tape deck.

GALVATRON (V.O.)
Shockwave, the Autobots attacked us
on Cybertron today and destroyed
the Enerdrain. I want you to
attack Metroplex and make them pay
for this. This I command!

CYCLONUS (V.O.)
No, my lord, that is Serpentor’s line.

GALVATRON (V.O.)
Shut up, Cyclonus!

Galvatron blasts Cyclonus. Astrotrain, Ramjet, Dirge, Thrust, and the Sweeps chuckle.

BONECRUSHER
Well it’s about time we got some
action around here.

HOOK
Tell me about it, Bonecrusher.
I actually thought I was going to
have to get a real job to keep from
dying of boredom.

SCRAPPER
We have our orders, Constructicons.
Let’s devastate Metroplex.

All of the Decepticons except for Shockwave exit in the elevator.

SHOCKWAVE

Shockwave walks up to the monitor.


EXT. EARTH - DAY

The STUNTICONS are driving and MOTORMASTER receives a transmission from Shockwave.

SHOCKWAVE (V.O.)
Come in, Stunticons.

MOTORMASTER
This is Motormaster. What is it,
Shockwave?

SHOCKWAVE (V.O.)
The Autobots have attacked our
leader on Cybertron. He has
instructed you to attack Metroplex
and any Autobots who get in your
way.

MOTORMASTER
It’ll be a pleasure, Shockwave!

Transmission ends.

MOTORMASTER
Hey, guys, we just got orders from
Shockwave to attack Metroplex. Do
you think that’s big enough of a
challenge for us?

DEAD END
Not really, but I could use a little
workout for a change.

WILD RIDER
Why don’t we start now, Dead End.
I see two Autobots driving on the
wrong side of town.

DRAGSTRIP
Hey, Wild Rider, I’m up for a game of
chicken. Are you in too, BREAKDOWN?

Then let’s have some fun!

Blurr and Wheelie are driving towards the Stunticons.

WHEELIE
Hey, Blurr, hate to say, but there’s
cars going the wrong way, heading
our way.

BLURR
What! What! Those aren’t cars,
Wheelie! Those are...

WHEELIE AND BLURR
(simultaneuously)
Stunticons!

Blurr and Wheelie swerve off the road at the last minute.
The Stunticons turn around and ram into them. The Stunticons then continue to drive.

WILD RIDER
Man, that was way too easy. I want
a real challenge.

MOTORMASTER
We will have a real challenge, when
we attack Metroplex. Ha, ha, ha!


EXT. CYBERTRON - AUTOBOT CITY CYBERTRON - NIGHT

Galvatron has just realized that Starscream has returned and that it was him that attacked the Decepticons. Optimus Prime watches as the fighting between the Autobots and Decepticons continues in the background.

GALVATRON
Starscream, I should’ve known it
was you. I just can’t seem to get
rid of you. I’m just going to have
to make sure I get the job done
this time!

Galvatron transforms to cannon mode and starts firing at Starscream. Starscream jumps away and hovers and dodges Galvatron’s blasts while firing back.

STARSCREAM
Ha, ha! You’ve failed to dispose of
me so far. What makes you think that
you’ll be able to dispose of me this
time? I’m back for good, Galvatron,
and I’m here to take back my rightful
place as leader of the Decepticons.

Starscream hits Galvatron with a blast. They stop firing and Galvatron transforms back to robot mode.

GALVATRON
You will never lead the Decepticons,
Starscream. You will lead the
Decepticons over my dead body!

STARSCREAM
Which is exactly where I plan
for your body to be!

Starscream fires a blast at Galvatron wounding him, and transforms to jet mode and takes off. Galvatron takes a few seconds to recover, then fires his cannon several times straight up in the air.

GALVATRON
Decepticons, retreat and follow me!

All the fighting stops and the Decepticons retreat and exit scene. Ultra Magnus walks up to Optimus Prime.

ULTRA MAGNUS
What was that all about?

OPTIMUS PRIME
Starscream’s returned and apparently
he’s the one who attacked the
Decepticons and made Galvatron think
we did it.

ULTRA MAGNUS
So what do we do now?

OPTIMUS PRIME
I want Omega Supreme and the
Aerialbots to follow them and make
sure they don’t get into anymore
trouble. See too if you can find
out who Starscream might be
working with. Good luck.

Omega Supreme and the Aerialbots transform and exit scene.

OPTIMUS PRIME
The rest of you, follow me.

INT. AUTOBOT CITY CYBERTRON

Optimus Prime is using the monitor.

OPTIMUS PRIME
I’ve got to try contacting the
Autobots on Earth. The Decepticons
could’ve also attacked Metroplex.

Only static is showing up on the monitor.

ULTRA MAGNUS
I think it’s possible the
Decepticons damaged the transmission
circuits when they attacked us.

OPTIMUS PRIME
Then I have to go to Earth. Our
friends may be in grave danger.

RODIMUS PRIME
No, Optimus, Ultra Magnus and I
will go. We’ll take Sky Lynx
with us.

OPTIMUS PRIME
Very well, Rodimus. I’ll contact you
on Earth as soon as we get everything
working around here.

Sky Lynx transforms to shuttle mode.

SKY LYNX
Sky Lynx express departing for
Earth. All passengers, please board.

Rodimus Prime and Ultra Magnus board Sky Lynx.


EXT. EARTH - DAY

Blurr and Wheelie are lying along the road in vehicle mode after being hit by the Stunticons. The Protectobots are
heading in that direction in vehicle mode.

BLADES
(in air)
HOT SPOT, I see two cars lying on
the side of the road. Check to see
if someone needs our help.

The Protectobots get closer to the scene.

Hey, that’s Blurr and Wheelie.
Protectobots - transform!

The Protectobots stop at the scene and transform to robot mode and assist them.

FIRST AID
Can you guys transform?

BLURR
No, no, no! Stunticons go, we
can’t transform!

HOT SPOT
The Stunticons need to be taught a
lesson about reckless driving.

STREETWISE
We’ll worry about that later.
Let’s get Blurr and Wheelie back
to Metroplex for repair.

First Aid tranforms to vehicle mode as the other Protectobots load Blurr and Wheelie in the back. They then receive a transmission from Blaster.

BLASTER (V.O.)
Protectobots, where are you guys?!
The Decepticons have returned and are
attacking Metroplex and we’re
outnumbered big time. If you don’t
get here soon, I’m going to have to
transform Metroplex and give them
the old stomperoo.

HOT SPOT
Uh, oh. It looks like our friends
are in trouble. We better get there
quick. Protectobots, roll out!

The rest of the Protectobots transform and drive off.


EXT./INT. EARTH - METROPLEX CITY MODE - DAY

The Decepticons are attacking Metroplex. He transforms from city mode to battle station mode and starts rolling and firing back at the Decepticons.

INSIDE METROPLEX

Blaster’s at the controls of Metroplex as Perceptor, Kup, Jazz, and Goldbug standby in robot mode.

Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, anybody,
come in!

JAZZ
It’s no use, Blaster. Their radio
doesn’t seem to be working. We’ll
have to deal with the Decepticons
by ourselves.

METROPLEX
Must evacuate now so Metroplex can
transform.

GOLDBUG
Then let’s do it!

Kup, Jazz, and Goldbug transform to vehicle mode and exit scene.

BLASTER
Man, Perceptor, why do I feel like
I’ve seen this movie before?

PERCEPTOR
Because you have, Blaster. Probably
a hundred times or more.

BLASTER
Yeah, but this time I was hoping this
movie would be checked out.

PERCEPTOR
Which we should do now.

Blaster and Perceptor run and exit scene.

OUTSIDE METROPLEX BATTLE STATION MODE

The five Autobots are facing off with Shockwave, Soundwave, the Sweeps, Ramjet, Dirge, Thrust, Astrotrain, and the Constructicons.

BLASTER
All right, Metroplex, time to do your
thing.

METROPLEX
Metroplex, transform!

Metroplex transforms from battle station mode to robot mode.

Constructicons, unite to form
Devastator.

The Constructicons form Devastator.

METROPLEX
Devastator is no match for Metroplex.

SHOCKWAVE
Perhaps I can help even the odds.

Shockwave jumps in the air and transforms to gun mode and lands in Devastator’s hand. Devastator fires a shot at Metroplex and knocks him down. The Autobots go running.

BLASTER
Watch out, the big guys coming down!

SOUNDWAVE
Decepticon cassettes, deal with the
overgrown Autobot tape deck.

Soundwave ejects Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, and Laserbeak.

BLASTER
Hey, Soundwave, you should really get
with the times because I’m the old
fashioned type and I still got my
cassettes, too.

Blaster ejects Rewind, Eject, Steeljaw, and Ramhorn to battle Soundwave’s cassettes. Blaster then punches Soundwave to the ground.

BLASTER
Tape decks are out now just like you.

Metroplex gets back to his feet. Shockwave is still in Devastator’s hand.

SHOCKWAVE
Quickly, Devastator, fire at him again.

JAZZ
I don’t think so, Shockwave.
Here’s a little jazz for you.

The Autobots fire at Devastator’s hand and he drops Shockwave. The Sweeps are in jet mode firing at Metroplex from the air, but Metroplex shoots them down. The Stunticons drive into scene.

PERCEPTOR
Oh, no, we’ve got more problems.
It’s the Stunticons!

MOTORMASTER
Stunticons, transform into Menasor!

The Stunticons transform into Menasor and stand next to Devastator facing Metroplex. Metroplex walks up to them and clotheslines them both causing them to disengage.

BONECRUSHER
Constructicons, Stunticons, reunite.
We still have the advantage.

Astrotrain transforms to shuttle mode and Shockwave and the rest of the Decepticons board and Astrotrain flies off.

Yeah, we tried to call you, but like,
there was no answer.

RODIMUS PRIME
Galvatron attacked us on Cybertron,
and when we couldn’t get through,
we thought the Decepticons
might’ve been attacking here on
Earth, too.

GOLDBUG
But why now? I thought the fighting
was finally over with?

ULTRA MAGNUS
Starscream attacked Galvatron and
the other Decepticons on Cybertron
using a shuttle with the Autobot
symbol on it.

RODIMUS PRIME
Of course though it wasn’t us and
we have no clue where the shuttle came
from. But Galvatron immediately
attacked us afterwards and that’s what
started this whole thing.

BLASTER
Starscream?! That ghost gave Metroplex
a workout awhile back. Better keep him
away from here.

RODIMUS PRIME
Starscream’s no longer a ghost,
Blaster. He’s as real and dangerous
as they come now.

Springer and Arcee drive into scene. Spike exits Springer and Daniel exits Arcee and they transform to robot mode.

GOLDBUG
Hey, look who’s back.

KUP
And missed out on all the fun, too.

What did we miss, Kup?

Decepticon attack.

SPRINGER
Well, we found out where the
Decepticons are hiding. We’ll
just hit them right back.

No, Springer. This attack was all
stemming from a misunderstanding.
Until we figure out what’s going on,
we’re not going to retaliate against
the Decepticons.

BLASTER
What if they attack us again?

RODIMUS PRIME
If they do, we’ll be ready for them.
Right, Defensor?

Blurr and Wheelie fall out of First Aid from Defensor’s left hand in robot mode and hit the ground. The Protectobots disengage to robot mode.

HOT SPOT
Oh, no, we forgot all about Blurr
and Wheelie!

WHEELIE
Blurr, this isn’t our day. Make
tomorrow come and today go away.

BLURR

EXT. CYBERTRON - NIGHT

Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge, Trypticon, Bruticus, Predaking, and Abominus are pursuing Starscream in the air. They are all being followed by Omega Supreme in rocket mode and the Aerialbots in jet mode.

GALVATRON
I want Starscream terminated and I
want him terminated now! And I
don’t care if I have to lose all my
men in the process. I want him
terminated!

It’s hard to get a decent shot at
Starscream, my lord, when Omega
Supreme and the Aerialbots are
blasting us from behind.

GALVATRON
Do I have to do everything myself?

Galvatron turns around and transforms to cannon mode and blasts Omega Supreme.

OMEGA SUPREME
It will take more than that to
defeat Omega Supreme, Galvatron.

Starscream transforms to robot mode and turns around. The Decepticons are preoccupied with Omega Supreme and the Aerialbots and aren’t paying attention to Starscream.

STARSCREAM
(to himself)
Now’s my chance. I have two mind
control chips that the Quintessons
gave me to expand our army. Who
should I pick first? Let’s start
with the biggest one of them all
- Trypticon!

Starscream fires the first chip at Trypticon.

STARSCREAM
(to himself)
Now for the second pick. Let’s pick a
big one. Abominus, Predaking, or
Bruticus? Ah - Bruticus! My old
friend and my own creation. Perfect!

Starscream fires the second chip at Bruticus.

OMEGA SUPREME
Galvatron is no match for Omega.

GALVATRON
Maybe this will do it then.

Galvatron fires three more shots at Omega Supreme, sending him falling aimlessly through the sky.

SILVERBOLT
Omega Supreme’s been hit. Aerialbots,
fall back and follow him!

The Aerialbots turn around and exit scene. Galvatron transforms back to robot mode.

Ah, ha, ha, ha. So much for the
mighty Omega Supreme. Now that the
Aerialbots are no longer following
us, we can deal with Starscream.

STARSCREAM
Wrong, Galvatron!

GALVATRON
What?!

STARSCREAM
It’s time to deal with you.
Trypticon, Bruticus, destroy
Galvatron!

GALVATRON
Have you gone mad, Starscream?
I told you before that you were a
fool if you thought anyone would
ever follow your orders.

STARSCREAM
We’ll see about that! Trypticon,
Bruticus, destroy them! I am now
your leader!

Trypticon and Bruticus turn around and start firing at the other Decepticons.

GALVATRON
They’re both traitors! Destroy
them now!

SCOURGE
Having Bruticus and Trypticon tips the
odds in their favor. It would be wise
to retreat and come up with a plan.

GALVATRON
I will never retreat from Starscream!

Galvatron gets wounded by a blast from Trypticon. Cyclonus comes to Galvatron’s aid.

CYCLONUS
You are wounded, my lord. We must
retreat at once.

GALVATRON
I will be back, Starscream! And when
I do come back, you’ll regret that I
ever let you live long enough to
know the name - GALVATRON!

The Decepticons exit scene. Starscream is standing in the sky with Trypticon and Bruticus behind him.

STARSCREAM
Galvatron has been defeated! With
Trypticon and Bruticus on my side, no
one in the universe will be able to
stop me. And very soon, the Decepticons
will be all mine. Ah, ha, ha, ha, ha!

LATER

Omega Supreme is falling aimlessly through the galaxy in rocket mode. The Aerialbots are following him in jet mode.

SILVERBOLT
Come on, Aerialbots! We have to
save Omega Supreme before he crashes.
Transform into Superion!

The Aerialbots transform into Superion. He catches up to Omega Supreme and grabs him.

SUPERION
We need to get Omega Supreme
back to Autobot City Cybertron.

LATER

Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge, the Predacons, and the Terrorcons are flying through space in robot mode.

CYCLONUS
What now, Galvatron? We are
missing two of our biggest assets,
who have now sided with Starscream.

GALVATRON
We’re going back to Earth to get
every Decepticon still functioning
to fight Starscream and his brigade.
Once I have all of my men at my side,
we will see who leads the Decepticons.


EXT. CHARR - NIGHT

Starscream arrives on Charr in jet mode and transforms to robot mode. He is followed by Trypticon and Bruticus. The three Quintessons are waiting.

QUINTESSON 1
Look, Starscream has returned.

And it looks like he has brought allies.

Giant allies.

STARSCREAM
Quintessons, I’d like you to meet
some old friends of mine. Trypticon
will serve as our ultimate defense

Trypticon transforms to battle station mode.

QUINTESSON 2
At least now we have some sort of home.

STARSCREAM
And this is Bruticus, a.k.a. the
Combaticons. When the Combaticons
are in the form of Bruticus, they are
only second to Trypticon in sheer
brute force. Bruticus, transform
into the Combaticons!

Bruticus transforms into the Combaticons in robot mode.

ONSLAUGHT
It’s Starscream! Combaticons,
prepare to attack.

QUINTESSON 1
It looks like Starscream has
screwed up.

QUINTESSON 2
That is not terribly surprising.

Starscream slowly backs away as the Combaticons draw their weapons and walk towards him.

STARSCREAM
Stop guys, I am your creator!
I command you to stop!

BRAWL
Nobody commands the Combaticons.

STARSCREAM
(to himself)
Wait, of course! When the
Combaticons are no longer in the
form of Bruticus, the mind control
chip no longer affects them.

Why don’t we turn Starscream into
Galvatron and cash in our reward.

STARSCREAM
Swindle, Vortex, Blast Off, Brawl,
Onslaught - I want to cut a deal.

ONSLAUGHT
Combaticons do not make deals with
treacherous former Decepticons.

VORTEX
Why not, we’re treacherous.

SWINDLE
I think we should give Starscream
a chance. After all, he’s the one
who saved us when Galvatron
imprisoned us on Cybertron.

The Combaticons stop walking towards Starscream.

STARSCREAM
That’s right, Swindle! I’m the one who
rescued you when Galvatron kept you
locked up on Cybertron for all those
years. We both have something in
common - the destruction of Galvatron!

BRAWL
What makes you think we’re not
interested in destroying you, too?

ONSLAUGHT
Give him a chance to talk, Brawl.

STARSCREAM
My friends here, the Quintessons,
want a small favor from me. They
want Cybertron back from which the
Autobots and Decepticons took from
them. Sure, it’s no small task,
but with your help and Trypticon’s
help, I’m sure we can make it happen.
And if we can, I promise you the
destruction of Galvatron and a
partnership in leading the Decepticons.

Sounds like a good deal to me, guys.

The Sweeps, Shockwave, Soundwave, Astrotrain, Ramjet, Dirge, and Thrust are all standing around inside watching the Constructicons and Stunticons argue in robot mode.

BONECRUSHER
You fools! We had Metroplex right
where we wanted him until you
Stuntifools got involved.

MOTORMASTER
Who are you calling Stuntifools,
you Constructibozos! Metroplex
would’ve stomped you into the
ground if we weren’t there to save
your worthless hides.

BONECRUSHER
Then let’s settle this now!

The elevator door opens and Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge, the Predacons, and the Terrorcons all come into scene in robot mode.

We’re going to be settling something
all right, but these aren’t the
Decepticons we’re going to be
settling it with.

GALVATRON
Starscream has taken Trypticon and
Bruticus from me and is once again
trying to usurp my power by creating
his own army. As soon as we locate
where they are hiding, we will show
them what price they must pay for
betraying the Decepticons.

CYCLONUS
All we need to do is trace
Trypticon’s coordinates to find
out where they are hiding.

GALVATRON
Then do it!

Soundwave traces Trypticon from within his tape deck.

SOUNDWAVE
Trypticon is on Charr. Starscream is
likely to be with Trypticon.

GALVATRON
Starscream won’t be on Charr or any
planet for that matter once I get my
hands on him. Transform the tower!
We’re going to Charr.

OUTSIDE SPACE TOWER

The Decepticon Space Tower transforms into a rocket and takes off.


EXT. CYBERTRON - AUTOBOT CITY CYBERTRON - NIGHT

Superion returns to Autobot City Cybertron carrying Omega Supreme in rocket mode and puts him down. Superion transforms to the Aerialbots in robot mode. Optimus Prime and the Technobots come running out in robot mode from inside Autobot City Cybertron.

What happened?

SILVERBOLT
Omega Supreme took a few bad hits
from Galvatron, but we saved him
before he crashed.

OPTIMUS PRIME
How are you feeling, Omega?

Technobots, do you think you can
repair him?

SCATTERSHOT
Of course, but it will take time.

OPTIMUS PRIME
I don’t care how long it will
take, Scattershot, as long as you
can do it.

Optimus Prime looks at the Aerialbots.

OPTIMUS PRIME
What happened to Galvatron and
Starscream?

SILVERBOLT
I’m sorry, Optimus, but we don’t
know. The Decepticons were still
chasing Starscream when Omega got
hit. We felt that rescuing Omega
was more important than continuing
to pursue the Decepticons.

OPTIMUS PRIME
You did the right thing. I’m sure
we’ll be hearing from Galvatron and
Starscream soon enough. Our main
priority right now is to repair
Omega Supreme.

The Technobots are repairing Omega Supreme.


INT. TRYPTICON BATTLE STATION MODE

Starscream is talking to the three Quintessons inside Trypticon. The Quintessons are manufacturing several Sharkticons.

defeat Galvatron in the first place.

holding us up is how long it’s taking
you to produce more Sharkticons.

Having more Sharkticons is not enough,
which is why we’ve manufactured four
more mind control chips. It’s up to
you now to decide who are next

Galvatron and the rest of the Decepticons are flying through space in the Decepticon Space Tower and spot Trypticon and the Combaticons.

INSIDE SPACE TOWER

GALVATRON
There’s Trypticon, and it looks like
the Combaticons are working with him.
It’s time to teach those traitors a
lesson and find out where Starscream
is hiding.

OUTSIDE SPACE TOWER

The Decepticon Space Tower lands. The Decepticons run out and start firing at the Combaticons.

GALVATRON
Get those traitors!

SWINDLE
Uh, oh, we got trouble. Galvatron’s
found us!

The Combaticons are firing back.

Starscream and the three Quintessons see the fighting going on outside on the monitor.

The Decepticons are here!

STARSCREAM
Perfect! It’s time to put the
Sharkticons to the test.

OUTSIDE TRYPTICON BATTLE STATION MODE

The Combaticons are firing at the rest of the Decepticons.

BLAST OFF
Even in the form of Bruticus, we
stand no match against the rest of
the Decepticons.

VORTEX
Maybe we should just surrender now.

GALVATRON
You treacherous Combaticons will
pay for your disloyalty to me!

BRAWL
It’s too late for that. I’m going
to go out fighting.

The door to Trypticon opens and tons of Sharkticons come running out in shark mode and attack the Decepticons.

CYCLONUS
Sharkticons!

GALVATRON
What?! That must mean the Quintessons
are behind this.

Starscream flies over Galvatron in jet mode and fires at him, knocking him down.

STARSCREAM
Wrong, Galvatron, I’m behind this!
The Quintessons are just helping me
get rid of you in the process.

GALVATRON
(stands up)
Decepticons, forget the Sharkticons!
I want Starscream terminated!

Trypticon, transform!

Trypticon transforms to robot mode. Starscream transforms to robot mode and lands on Trypticon’s shoulder.

The Combaticons and Sharkticons form a circle around Trypticon. Outside of that circle, the rest of the Decepticons form a circle around them.

What are you waiting for?! Are you
telling me that my four biggest

STARSCREAM
They just don’t care to take orders
from a self serving Decepticon who
doesn’t deserve to be their leader.
I say you attack Galvatron - now!

Devastator, Menasor, Predaking, and Abominus turn around and start walking towards Galvatron.

GALVATRON
This can’t be happening!

STARSCREAM
But it is, Galvatron. And whoever
the biggest Decepticons listen to
is the leader. And as of right now,
the Decepticon leader is me!

GALVATRON
We must retreat at once!

The Decepticons run to the Decepticon Space Tower and get inside. It takes off.

STARSCREAM
Ha, ha, what a coward Galvatron is!
Now that all of the Decepticons
biggest warriors are following my
commands, it’s only a matter of time
before all of the Decepticons are
following my commands, and Galvatron
is nothing more than a fond memory.
Ah, ha, ha, ha, ha!


EXT./INT. AUTOBOT CITY CYBERTRON - NIGHT

The Technobots are repairing Omega Supreme outside. Optimus Prime enters scene in robot mode.

OPTIMUS PRIME
How are the repairs on Omega Supreme

Fine, Optimus. Within a few hours,
Omega Supreme should be as good as new.

OPTIMUS PRIME
Good. As soon as you’re finished,
I need you to fix the transmitter on
Autobot City Cybertron so I can
contact Rodimus Prime on Earth.

INSIDE AUTOBOT CITY CYBERTRON

Optimus Prime enters. The five Dinobots are standing there in robot mode.

GRIMLOCK
Optimus Prime, when are Dinobots
going to get chance to fight
Decepticons again?

SLAG
We want action now!

OPTIMUS PRIME
You Dinobots will be getting action
soon enough. My Autobot sense tells
me that we’re going to be facing the
biggest battle we’ve ever faced in
our history soon, much sooner than
I had hoped for.


EXT. CYBERTRON - DECEPTICON SPACE TOWER - NIGHT

Galvatron is with all of the Decepticons except for the ones with Starscream.

GALVATRON
Fools! We had Starscream right where
we wanted him and you let him get away!
Now all of my best warriors have
joined with him!

Galvatron turns around and punches Scourge to the ground and grabs his neck.

GALVATRON
This is your fault, Scourge! Isn’t
it true that you and Starscream were
once allies and you tried to replace
me as leader of the Decepticons?!
You could’ve easily taken Starscream
out but chose not to when you had
the chance.

Cyclonus comes over and tries to restrain Galvatron.

CYCLONUS
Mighty Galvatron, it was not
Scourge’s fault.

Galvatron lets go of Scourge and turns around and punches Cyclonus to the ground.

GALVATRON
Perhaps I should blame you instead,
Cyclonus!

CYCLONUS
Wait, mighty Galvatron. I think
there is more to this than meets
the eye.

GALVATRON
More than meets the eye? Have
you been watching shows with those
creepy Earth creatures, Cyclonus?

Cyclonus gets up.

CYCLONUS
I seen Starscream fire something
at our warriors before they turned
on us. I think Starscream may be
controlling them against their will
and in fact they are not traitors.

GALVATRON
For their sakes I hope you’re right.
When I get my hands on Starscream,
he’s going to wish he was still a
ghost and had stayed a ghost forever!

Autobots and Decepticons, this is
Starscream, the new leader of the
Decepticons.

Soundwave transforms to tape deck mode.

I am now in control of Trypticon
and all five Decepticon gestalts.

Blaster is in tape deck mode as Rodimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, Kup, Perceptor, Jazz, Springer, Arcee, Goldbug, Sky Lynx, the Protectobots, Spike, and Daniel listen to Starscream.

STARSCREAM (V.O.)
Being a Decepticon of my word,
Cybertron must be evacuated of all
inhabitants within twenty-four hours
who are not willing to bow before
Starscream and follow his rule.
Any resistance will result in
devastation and abomination to
Cybertron. Mark this day as the
day that Starscream has finally had
his revenge! You have twenty-four
hours, Galvatron.

RODIMUS PRIME
This is bad! We need to get back
to Autobot City Cybertron right away.

All the Autobots board Sky Lynx, except for Rodimus Prime, Blaster, Jazz, and Goldbug.

Spike and Daniel, I want you to

No, Cybertron’s in trouble!

could be very dangerous.

Starscream’s demands.

We don’t stand a chance against him
as long as he has Trypticon and all
of the Decepticon combiners.

And there’s only one Transformer
who can stand up to Trypticon, and
he’s not a Decepticon.

Cyclonus, I hope you’re not implying

It’s our only chance, my lord.
We must team up with the Autobots.
Cybertron is both our homes.

We know that Trypticon is on Charr,
and Starscream and the Quintessons
are likely still with him.

Between the Autobots and Decepticons,

attack on Charr before they can
attack us. But still, Metroplex is
the only one who can stand up to
Trypticon, and Metroplex can’t fly.

neither the Autobots or the
Decepticons want to lose it back
to the Quintessons.

The Autobots spot the Decepticon Space Tower flying towards them.

RODIMUS PRIME
Look!

The Decepticon Space Tower lands near them.

SPRINGER
That’s the tower I spotted the
Decepticons building. I didn’t
know it was a ship, too.

Haven’t you figured out, Springer?
In the world of the Transformers,
nothing is what it seems.

All the Decepticons exit the tower.

GALVATRON
I hope you have a plan, Optimus
Prime. We need to get to Charr
and stop those Quintessons once
and for all. But I want to deal
with Starscream personally!

OPTIMUS PRIME
The Autobots do have a plan.
The question is, do the Decepticons
also have a plan?

GALVATRON
Our plan is to get rid of Starscream
once and for all and get my
Decepticons back!

OPTIMUS PRIME
Then I guess that means that you
don’t have a plan, Galvatron.
You can follow the Autobots lead.

GALVATRON
Are you kidding?! I would never
follow your lead, Optimus Prime.
You can follow our lead or don’t
come to Charr at all!

Unicron’s head appears in the sky.

ULTRA MAGNUS
What’s that up in the sky?

RODIMUS PRIME
And I don’t think it’s an animation
error, either!

Unicron starts firing huge blasts out of his eyes, which looks like are coming from him, but are actually coming from laser cannons being controlled by Onslaught and Brawl.

OPTIMUS PRIME
Autobots, take cover!

The Autobots and Decepticons go running for cover. Some of them transform to vehicle and jet mode. From behind Unicron’s head, Trypticon falls from the sky to the ground and crushes the Sweeps.


INT. UNICRON’S HEAD

Starscream is piloting Unicron. Onslaught and Brawl are controlling a huge laser cannon out of each eye. Devastator, Menasor, Predaking, Abominus, Swindle, Vortex, Blast Off, and the three Quintessons are standing by.

BRAWL
Hey, Starscream, get closer so I
can blast Galvatron for us.

STARSCREAM
Ha, ha! Look at all of the Autobots
and Decepticons run. And to think
that the fun is only just beginning.
Trypticon, destroy everything,
especially Galvatron!

OUTSIDE UNICRON’S HEAD

Trypticon is walking and firing at everyone and stepping on Transformers.

GALVATRON
Trypticon, I am your leader. I
command you to crush the Autobots!

KUP
So much for teamwork, I guess.

Several Autobots and Decepticons are firing up at Unicron as Unicron fires at them.

RODIMUS PRIME
Optimus, we’re getting hit too hard
from above and now we’re getting hit
hard on the ground by Trypticon.
We can’t take much more. We need to
stop Unicron once and for all!

OPTIMUS PRIME
Agreed. At the count of three,
everyone concentrate their firepower
on Unicron. One, two, three!

The animation resembles the original “TRANSFORMERS THE MOVIE” movie poster, with Ultra Magnus at the center firing up in the sky and other Autobots firing up in the sky behind him.


INT. UNICRON’S HEAD

Unicron’s head is rumbling.

STARSCREAM
What’s going on here?

OUTSIDE UNICRON’S HEAD

Unicron’s head explodes. Devastator, Menasor, Predaking, and Abominus land on the ground feet first. Starscream, the Combaticons, and the Quintessons all land on the ground on their face and their backs.

STARSCREAM
What happened?

OPTIMUS PRIME
Autobots, you know what to do!

The Aerialbots transform into Superion, the Protectobots transform into Defensor, and the Technobots transform into Computron. Superion matches up with Abominus, Defensor matches up with Predaking, and Computron matches up with Menasor. Omega Supreme approaches Devastator.

DEVASTATOR
Let’s settle this once and for
all, Omega Supreme.

OMEGA SUPREME
Will be a pleasure, Devastator.

GALVATRON
How am I supposed to get my
hands on Starscream with all of
this chaos going on here?

Omega Supreme and Devastator are struggling with each other.

DEVASTATOR
You’ve always been weak, Omega.
You can’t handle the might of
Devastator.

OMEGA SUPREME
We’ll see about that, Constructicons!

Omega Supreme takes Devastator and throws him in the opposite direction. Omega Supreme then fires at Devastator on the ground, causing him to disengage back to the Constructicons in robot mode.

HOOK
Where are we?

BONECRUSHER
And what are we doing here?

GALVATRON
Constructicons, over here! You are
one of the Decepticons oldest allies!

STARSCREAM
No, Constructicons, don’t leave me!

SCRAPPER
We don’t work for Starscream.
We work for Galvatron.

The Constructicons transform to vehicle mode and go to Galvatron.

CYCLONUS
That must be the secret to
Starscream’s control over them.
Once they disengage, he can no
longer control them.

RODIMUS PRIME
Optimus, we need to get those
giant Decepticons to transform.
If we do, perhaps they’ll come
back to their senses, for
whatever that’s worth.

OPTIMUS PRIME
Try using the Autobot Matrix.

Quick, let’s get out of here!

The Predacons and Terrorcons transform to animal mode and exit scene. The Stunticons transform to vehicle mode and exit scene. Starscream is standing with the Combaticons and Trypticon.

STARSCREAM
No, get back here, stop!

BRAWL
We’re losing all of our men,
Starscream. You’re going to lose
us too if Trypticon can’t beat
these guys.

All of the Autobots and Decepticons are standing on the same side across from Starscream, Trypticon, the Combaticons, and the Quintessons.

OPTIMUS PRIME
Give it up, Quintessons, you’ve lost!

STARSCREAM
Not yet, Prime. We still control
Trypticon. And since Metroplex isn’t
here, there’s no way you can stop him!

OPTIMUS PRIME
Guess again, Starscream! Dinobots,
introduce Trypticon to our new friend!

For the first time ever, the five Dinobots merge to become one giant robot called MEGASAUR. Megasaur is larger than any of the other Autobot gestalts, and is just as big and fearsome as Trypticon is.

OPTIMUS PRIME
Meet Megasaur!

STARSCREAM
Megasaur? Impossible!

Megasaur and Trypticon walk in a circle preparing to lock up.

TRYPTICON
Trypticon destroy Dinobots.

MEGASAUR
Dinobots destroy Trypticon.

Megasaur runs up to Trypticon and knocks him down with Grimlock’s tail. Trypticon get up.

TRYPTICON
(fires at Megasaur)
Take this Megasaur.

Megasaur falls down. He gets back up and punches Trypticon to the ground.

MEGASAUR
This is it, Trypticon.

Megasaur grabs Trypticon and spins him around and throws him. Trypticon gets up.

TRYPTICON
I can’t take anymore. Must leave now.

Trypticon flies off and exits scene. The Combaticons are standing by the Quintessons.

ONSLAUGHT
This operation is over with.
Blast Off, transform and blast
off this planet.

Blast Off transforms as the other Combaticons get in.

QUINTESSON 1
Don’t leave us!

The three Quintessons get in and Blast Off takes off and exits scene.

STARSCREAM
It’s over! Trypticon’s been
defeated and all of my men have
abandoned me. I’ve lost!

Galvatron comes up from behind Starscream and points his
cannon at him.

Your victory isn’t the only thing
you’re about to lose!

STARSCREAM
(turns around)
Galvatron!

GALVATRON
This is it, Starscream! Any last
words?

STARSCREAM
Yes, Galvatron! I’m sorry I threw
you out into space and tried to
become leader of the Decepticons
when you were injured. I shouldn’t
have done it.

GALVATRON
Ah, but if you hadn’t, I wouldn’t
have become Galvatron and become
more powerful than ever! I’m
warning you though, Starscream.
This is your last chance. If you
ever try to dispose of me again,
it truly will be the end of you.

STARSCREAM
Oh, yes, Galvatron. I understand.

GALVATRON
Come along you treacherous usurper.

Starscream follows Galvatron as they head to the Decepticon Space Tower. Before they board, they are confronted by Cyclonus and Scourge.

CYCLONUS
Galvatron, Starscream just caused a
civil war between the Decepticons!
Now you’re going to let him come
back to the Decepticons and join us?!

GALVATRON
Do not question my authority,
Cyclonus. Get onboard, or I will
hand you over to Megasaur personally!

Galvatron gets onboard. Cyclonus and Scourge look at Starscream with a very disgusted look.

CYCLONUS
I’m warning you, Starscream.
I have my eye on you.

Starscream smiles at Cyclonus and gets onboard.

SCOURGE
That plasma bath must’ve fried
Galvatron’s circuits more than
we thought.

Cyclonus and Scourge get onboard the Decepticon Space Tower and it takes off.

RODIMUS PRIME
Well, Optimus, it looks like
Cybertron’s still safe and the
Quintessons plans to retake it
from us have failed once again.

ULTRA MAGNUS
Yeah, but what about Galvatron and
Starscream?

OPTIMUS PRIME
Once a Decepticon, always a
Decepticon, Ultra Magnus. But we’ll
be ready for them when the time comes.
With our new friend Megasaur around,
I don’t think we’ll have to worry too
much about the Decepticons, which we
can thank the Technobots for.

Computron is standing next to Megasaur.

COMPUTRON
It was the least we could do,
Optimus Prime, since Grimlock
created us.

MEGASAUR
Dinobots thank you, Computron.

OPTIMUS PRIME
I’m very proud of all of you,
especially you, Rodimus. You’ve
really shown me how great of a
leader you are, and I can’t imagine
the Autobots ever being without you.

RODIMUS PRIME
You don’t know how much that means
to me, Optimus. I promise to never
let you down, and always protect the
Autobots from the evil forces of the
Decepticons, and any other evil that
lies ahead of us.
